I needed a trial pair of contacts. When I went into the Hoover location Ebony immediately noticed my eye was infected. She was so sweet and concerned. Ebony took great care of me and asked the doctor if she would take a look. Dr.K immediately agreed to postpone her lunch and help me out. Both ladies were extremely professional and took care of my eye emergency immediately. The level of care and friendliness put me at ease. I would highly recommend anyone needing a professional eye care team to go see Ebony and Dr.K at the hoover location!

Ebony was so wonderful! She was so friendly, and easy to talk to. Ebony was very helpful, she was genuinely concerned about my husbands eye infection, and she went above and beyond to help us out.Dr.K was amazing. Dr.K postponed her scheduled lunch to help my husband and get his eye better. I highly recommend anyone needing exceptional eye care services to stop by the Hoover store and see these lovely ladies!

I had an eye emergency and I have insurance so I went to America's Best in Hoover. After getting my insurance card they never bothered to tell me I would have to pay for the exam. They were even talking about my insurance but I was unaware until I had to pay $99 and told Viva would reimburse me by the same woman who was very rude. Still didn't get my prescription. She wanted me to try their contacts for a week. Didn't last but 3 days with a headache then it took me 2 more days to get the correct prescription which I still believe is wrong. I do not want anyone else to be ripped off so make sure they tell you before they run you to the back. Luckily I can get another exam because I had to paid for that one and haven't used my insurance. Unless you're getting simple glasses and an exam you will pay more and it's still going to be more then.

This was by far one of the best eye experiences I've ever had. Staff was very professional and knowledgeable about all the products. Andi and Termica was exceptional when it came to my eye exam and billing and being helpful!!!

Andy and Ebony were very helpful when I came in to pick up my glasses. One pair of my glasses had a different lens than I wanted and they let me keep the glasses without redoing them and have me wait an additional 2 weeks.

My 2 daughters had an appointment in the Hoover location today. We were welcomed so kindly by the staff! Everyone was so great and took good care of my daughters. When we were checking out, Andy processed the paperwork at the end and explained everything clearly. She was very efficient and knowledgeable at her job. My daughters and I had an excellent experience and would recommend this location!

My glasses fell apart during a meeting. I Googled optical and found America's Best nearby. Went in and they immediately went to work fixing my glasses. They were very courteous and fixed my glasses quickly. Highly recommend them for your optical needs.

Girl at the front said it was too much work to see the specs of the glasses… esp. if I wasn’t buying glasses from them. Went to eye mart express and they helped me no problem and pulled different frames for me to try on. Both stores had the same amount of customers. Don’t normally leave reviews and had a cool experience before but that really rubbed me the wrong way. It’s actually pretty disrespectful of someone’s time to have someone drive to your place of business just to tell someone you will NOT help them simply on the basis that you don’t want to. It’s pathetic, low, base, and makes me never want to step foot in there ever again. Service is mid 10/10 would not recommend. Donald is still great though!

I lost one of my trial contacts. I arrived for my follow up appointment telling the young lady that I had lost one of my contacts her response to me was I’m sorry sir we cannot service you if you don’t have your contacts in. Now, how am I supposed to put a contact in my eye that I don’t have I replied I won’t go into any more details, but I will tell you this sitting next to her desk was your fantastic employee named Donald he overheard the conversation and promptly came to my rescue. He got another trial contact for me and quickly scheduled me a new follow up. appointment. You have a fantastic employee there named Donald!! gave him a raise!!

Donald was absolutely wonderful. Not only did I find the perfect pairs of glasses thanks to his great taste and advice, I also had a blast at my eye appointment which I don't think I've ever said before. I'll never go anywhere else.

Donald at the Hoover location provided exceptional care! My son was getting new glasses for the school year. Donald was helpful and did a great job interacting with him! We love America's Best and have been customers for years.

It has been 3 weeks and my glasses are still not in. I spent right at 450 for one pair, I thought. I got home later and looked at my receipt because I thought after insurance that was high. They charged me for two pair. Then I called them about that. I was so mad. I have called every Friday to try to get an update. Yesterday, someone looked on their computer and it still hasn’t left the place where they make them. I ask for a manager to call the company and see what is going on. I did not get a call back. To say the least I’m asking for my money back on BOTH pair. I’m a patient person. But I could have drove 5 miles down the road and got them in an hour.

This was my first experience with America's Best. I was attracted by the two pairs of glasses for $79.95 price. Of course this was just a bait and switch offer. By the time I walked out the door, my two pair of glasses were over $500. I expected to pay more for progressive lens, but the added price was ridiculous. The selection of frames was limited and many appeared to be very flimsy. Fast forward 5 months and one of the lens in one pair of glasses appears to be chipped in two places at the edge of lens where it touches the metal frame. I went back to the store to get the problem resolved. The store employee told me the lens coating was failing and she told me that was caused by the way I clean the lens. It looks to me that the lens is delaminating. She had no interest in correcting the problem. I use water and Dawn dish detergent, the same method I've used for more than 30 years. This is the first time a lens has failed. I'm guessing the lens coating or lens material is inferior. Based on the high cost, poor quality of the materials used, and quick failure of the lens coating, I will not use America's Best Eyeglasses again.
