“Mi Pueblo Mexican Supermarket isn't just a store; it's a passport to Mexico's culinary heart, right here in our backyard. My family and I ventured in with a simple mission: dried chilis. But oh, were we in for a treat! The moment we stepped inside, it was like crossing the border into a world brimming with vibrant flavors and colorful delights. Every aisle was an adventure, every shelf a story of Mexico's rich gastronomic heritage. The snacks were a revelation - forget your standard chips and dips; these were snacks that danced the salsa on your taste buds! The spices! A dazzling array of fiery reds, earthy browns, and sunset yellows, each promising to turn my kitchen into a culinary carnival. And the meat section? A carnivore's dream, offering cuts and varieties that Publix wouldn't even dare to whisper about. Shopping at Mi Pueblo was like being in Mexico without the flight. The vibrant atmosphere, the authentic products, the buzz of Spanish in the air - it was a cultural immersion wrapped in a shopping trip. I'll be back.”

“This place is AMAZING!Traveling through Alabama, I wasn’t expecting such a diverse culture in the city of Birmingham. I stopped here because my kids were in search of Boba tea and there weren’t many places that offered it authentic. Though this place wasn’t as close to where we were staying as I would have liked, we made the trip anyway. I was a bit concerned about the area when getting off the highway, and also seeing this was inside a grocery store. I walked in and was completely amazed! The store was huge and had had a wide selection of just about any Asian item you could think of. The boba tea was excellent! Although it was unplanned, I stopped in the on-site restaurant that’s connected to the grocery store (Mr. Chen’s) and ordered takeout. The food was delicious! What I enjoyed most is the diversity of customers that I saw patronizing the store. This brought me much comfort, and allowed me to try more things.I’d definitely return here!”

“I have been seeing comments about this place for several months. I was in the area tonight and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. This is the best Chinese in town. Only a couple of places in town even have soup dumplings and these are the best. Our party also had lo mein and Mongolian beef. Both were outstanding. This will be our go to Place from now on. Simply fabulous.”

“I just made a quick trip to “the Pig” to buy two items for my grandson. I arrived after he had just closed the doors. I ran up to the door and told him that I only needed two things for my grandson. A nice gentleman, named Michael, opened the door, got the items for me and carried them to my car. His name is Michael, possibly an Angel. I think so!!?”

“My go to supermarket for international items while in the area! They have everything that I need and a lot of things I never knew I needed! Fruits that main stream grocery stores don't have they have (Rambutan, Soursop, persimmons just to name a few) also they have these plantain chips that I can only find here along with coconut hibiscus Malta!”

“We ordered takeout from Mr. Chen’s in Homewood today - our first experience with this restaurant. Placed order by phone with ease and our food was ready and packed when we arrived. The Mongolian Beef and Triple Delight were both delicious. The staff was friendly and professional. The atmosphere of the dining area was inviting and we look forward to eating in next time - and having a look through the market! ??”

“Excellent customer service and shopping experience. You’ll get the best value if you shop their Bogos and other deals. For boxed goods, you will usually find a lower price at other store such as Walmart or Sam’s. But the quality of the fresh meats and produce here are difficult to beat outside of going to your local farmers market.”

“My kitchen quite literally RUNS on Aldi. It is unbelievable to me at times how good quality the products and food here is for the extremely affordable prices. Their protein supplements are an absolute game changer- their whey powder and various protein bars could not be better both macro/calorically, taste-wise, and of course for insanely low prices compared to what you'd usually get! Aldi's brand products are my preference to the name brand time and time again. I have never once been let down by my groceries from here and often am inspired while shopping to cook different cuisines with all the options! Using this as an opportunity to flex my cooking- but I have had MANY meals that are comprised entirely of Aldi items only and you really just can't beat it!”

“One of the few store in the Birmingham area that carry Nina's Debrov fresh vine wine. Other stores in the area that carry's it is the Target and Wholes foods. Currently they only sell the rose wine for 23.95 when the site only sales it for 17.95 before tax and shipping. I love this store though it always easier to get in get what I need and get out quickly vs Whole foods.”

“Great place, neatly kept store and they have an abundant amount of products at great prices. The staff always are ready to help, and the checkout process is smooth. How can anyone go wrong with this place, oh and the parking lot is super clean and well kept.”

“A few days ago I stopped by La Pasadita and took the opportunity to buy some of their products that you can't get anywhere else. I also took advantage and ate some good tacos. Excellent service.”

“This location's pharmacy is wonderful. They're always so kind and helpful. Valerie O, specifically, is an angel. She helped me navigate options when it came to an allergic reaction to one of my prescriptions. She remembers me and is quick to jump in whenever I need assistance, with both friendliness and knowledge. It's hard to find both of those qualities in people!”

“Wally World has been a favorite of mine for a while. Back in college I used to use it as my going out without really going out. Something to get me out of the dorm/house for a bit. It's like a target run you might not need something but it's always good to look. Late night Walmart runs are always the best. Now that court and I love together and have a place to call home, we've been trying g to go to Walmart once a week to get some groceries. It always amazes me how much food two people can go through. Haha. We typically will get Gatorade, spices, water, and some house water items. You can't really beat their prices. The staff typically know what they are talking about when it comes to electronics and the various sections in the store. Because we like the prices so much at Walmart we have considered getting some furniture from here as well. But when we go to look for the prices they are not marked so we wind up having to take pictures of the items then find them again on the website. This Walmart is huge and depending on what time you go there are typically a lot of people. There are always so many things to look at when it comes to Walmart stores. But they are pretty clean and well kept. I like strolling down the snack aisle and looking at the weird snack combinations that companies come out with. It always is a grand experience.”
