My wife and I came down to The Lodge in Gulf Shores during the Offseason for our 20th wedding anniversary hoping for a quiet and romantic weekend. The Room was great and hotel had very nice amenities, but we had a hard to using any of them. We Checked in on Friday and are checking out Monday Morning. When we checked in we told them it was our 20th Anniversary and asked about recommendations. They never told us that there was a Soccer tournament for Elementary/Middle school kids staying at the hotel or that literally hundreds of kids would be overrunning the place. No idea where the parents were but kids were screaming, laughing, singing, racing up and down hallways, overrunning the firepit, pool and beach. At one point, what looked to be 4th and 5th graders were racing the office chair from the 4th floor workstation up and down the hallway at 8pm at night. Sunset on the patio was ruined by groups of elementary kids making lots of noise and ruining a beautiful sunset. We complained to the staff and front desk about it multiple times and were just met with "We're sorry". No offer to move us to a different wing of hotel without kids, no help with kids. This hotel is beautiful and looks to be very romantic, but be warned to call ahead to determine if they are going to be babysitting a hundred middle school and below age kids before you go. Not the memory my wife and I wanted for our 20th anniversary.
Rooms: Great room and tall enough shower (i am 6'7"). TV can be finicky for finding a signal leaving nothing to watch.
Noteworthy details: We have never stayed at any hotel where staff did nothing to quiet or control the atmosphere for other guests.

Walkability: Here for a conference, the meeting rooms were quite a distance from the guest rooms.

Truly a wonderful place for vacation. Incredible views, pristine property, eco friendly beach. This is a perfect hotel.
Well designed, with an incredible bar, awesome pool area, and awesome rooms. Great place for couples or families.

Review of The Lodge
I’ve visited The Lodge twice since August, with a third trip booked for November, and I can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s perfect for solo female travelers—safe, comfortable, and everything you need in one location. The Lodge offers restaurants, shops, and luxurious rooms, all under one roof.
Whether you’re looking for a mental health getaway or a trip with family and friends, I highly recommend it! Plus, it’s just minutes away from famous restaurants and popular hangouts. A perfect escape!

Beautiful place!! Amazing staff, such clean rooms, amazing restaurants and bars, the list could go on! Worth every penny! Definitely will be coming back asap! Thanks for making my trip amazing ??
Came for work but also made a little trip out of it!!
Rooms: On the smaller side but very nicely set up and very clean! Cleaners came in everyday to replenish stuff and made the beds!
Nearby activities: You have the utilities that are already there. (Bar, restaurants, beach, pool, boutique.) also right across the street (walking distance) is a boardwalk that leads to a must see park. Playground for kids and beautiful lake views that you can’t miss! Spotted alligators in the lake and saw many birds and fish!
There are also nearby convenient stores.
Walmart, Target things like that.
Food and drinks: Restaurant at the resort that you must go to! Make sure to make reservations for dinner!
Noteworthy details: This place is amazing by far one of my favorite places I have ever stayed! I 100% recommend this place! I’ll definitely be coming back! Not only great staff but also Great people around I never felt unsafe! Amazing drinks and food! Can’t wait to come back!
