A carnivore's dream, offering cuts and varieties that Publix wouldn't even dare to whisper about. Shopping at Mi Pueblo was like being in Mexico without the flight. The vibrant atmosphere, the authentic products, the buzz of Spanish in the air - it was a cultural immersion wrapped in a shopping trip. I'll be back.”

“This place is AMAZING!Traveling through Alabama, I wasn’t expecting such a diverse culture in the city of Birmingham. I stopped here because my kids were in search of Boba tea and there weren’t many places that offered it authentic. Though this place wasn’t as close to where we were staying as I would have liked, we made the trip anyway. I was a bit concerned about the area when getting off the highway, and also seeing this was inside a grocery store. I walked in and was completely amazed! The store was huge and had had a wide selection of just about any Asian item you could think of. The boba tea was excellent! Although it was unplanned, I stopped in the on-site restaurant that’s connected to the grocery store (Mr. Chen’s) and ordered takeout. The food was delicious!What I enjoyed most is the diversity of customers that I saw patronizing the store. This brought me much comfort, and allowed me to try more things.I’d definitely return here!”

“It's 70% of a regular Publix for 130% of the money. Everything is there, just less of it. Dedicated parking in a deck above. Elevator that opens in the store.The street level pedestrian door is sometimes guarded by beggars and story-tellers. This same demographic takes turns using the store restrooms. This isn't an unusual circumstance if you frequent 2024 Urban America, but folks that think were still a polite, logical society might be disturbed.Prices are Urban High but not crazy. The hot food areas are busy.Just, be aware you are downtown in a metro rather than in 'Publix' and you'll be OK. Oddly, the parking deck is never a problem.Yet.”

I wanted fresh bean sprouts, but didn't find any, and the fresh mushrooms were sparse, but still the offerings were superior to my local supermarket.I am glad I made the effort to drive to the closest, yet 15 miles away, Sprouts. Will make a fresh market trip at least once a week.”

I guess some people like salad with mayo instead of ranch, ceaser or blue cheese, which is what I thought it was but not...I would of expected anything else & would of been happy with either of the other...but mayonnaise?the rest of store is great & rest of deli was great...just beside myself. not traumatized but not 5 star.”

The owners are SUCH good people. The district manager is as knowledgeable and kind. The store manager at this location is exceptional; a good, hard-working man and a role model for any young person looking to move up in the world. Mr. Rick is a close 2nd. The city of Midfield is SO lucky to have them.”
