Storage unit broken into, many items stolen. Items were never recovered. Was not offered compensation of any type for this. Front gate was always wide open and unlocked. Went to clean out storage unit, found items inside that wasn't even mine, was charged $45 since it was on the 1st of the month. In my humble opinion, after being consistent on payments to this facility and losing a little over a thousand in items due to theft and management not making sure their storage facility is secured, that charge should have been waived. Or at the very least a month free. Many items were of sentimental value from those who have passed that I will never be able to replace. Will not use this storage facility in the future and do not recommend.***EDIT TO RESPONSE BY THE MANAGEMENT****It is your duty as management to provide a safe place for your customers belongings and not place that responsibility on the customer. Your negligence in not being able to make sure a gate was lock is what leads to your units being broken into.As stated YOU PLACED ITEMS that was NOT mine into the storage unit for me to pick up that was left by another customer. Focus on your customer service and being less negligent in keeping your customers belongings safe and perhaps they would respect your "rules" more. However, your lack of professionalism and poor customer service means you receive no respect.The unit could have been swept out but I guess that my broom was STOLEN too, along with the various other items that was stolen while storing my belongings at your facility.Also no insurance was offered by you. Because when I started renting, it was through Werner. And lastly, I have the message on my phone which states a $40 fee, and you charged $45. Stop lying, its sad.
