I checked in for a work trip. Room was nothing fancy but clean and recently renovated. However in the morning when I went to take a shower the diverter valve handle was broken and unable to shower.Notified the front desk on checkout. The front desk clerk had no answer to the problem, but said that she would notify management.Later in the day I did receive an email from management refunding my stay. Thank you.The first moral of this story is real customer service is alive and well here. #2 check everything in room when you get there because at 5am there won’t be anyone around to fix it.I will definitely be staying again.Rooms: Clean and recently renovated.

The manger there is horrible I mean horrible she calls the police for every little thing and talks to you with huge disrespect and very loud ,she makes the company look horrible she has no compassion or sympathy she is heartless and has no heart woe until her if she ever needs a helping hand but otherwise the other worker were lovely and down to earth and very understandable. I recommend staying else where/ see even her response heartless and nice nasty clean your heart ma’am cause it’s nasty ! / unprofessional!!

This room covers all the basics - good sleep, pet-friendly, safety, strong cellular signal (Verizon), hot water, comfortable.I was pleasantly surprised with the added bonuses that I've wished for but didn't expect:1. The bed is lower than the other hotels we've stayed in on this trip. My dog is almost 12, so I appreciate that she can jump on/off without hurting herself.2. The window is low and tall - she can watch me as I grab things out of the car. This is the type of place where you can park in front of your door if you're on the bottom floor. Along with that, though, comes a little added noise. We can hear when the neighbors go in/out, or when someone is out at their car. We had someone loitering outside the window yesterday - until my girl barked and scared them off. (Good girl!). She is barking a bit more than usual though, because there has been quite a bit of activity outside. Nothing appearing to be illicilt, just a lot of activity in general. There are bright floodlights that came on last night and startled me. I can't tell if the lights are owned by Red Roof or by a neighboring business, but they're incredibly bright and aimed right at the rooms. The light comes in around the curtain, but the good part about that is that this is an unfamiliar place that I don't know in the dark, so having a bit of a nightlight is helpful. I imagine it also helps with safety in the parking lot.The room is comfortable. It has a fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. They all work well.Staff is super friendly! I asked for more coffee and was given a giant handful of coffee bags. It's appreciated! The room is mostly clean. The bathroom door could stand to be wiped down every once in awhile. I initially thought it was just maybe old, but when I wiped it with a square of toilet paper, the muck came right off. It appears they do a good job with the basic cleaning, but perhaps need to make time for deep-cleaning every so often.Water is hot and runs clear! They have the curved shower curtain rods so you can shower without touching the curtain. That was a nice bonus. My cellphone has been on 5g the entire time we've stayed. There's a Verizon location next door, so it makes sense that my phone is working well. I've been able to stream my shows and do my online coursework and everything else that I've needed/wanted to do.The location is BEAUTIFUL!!!! We even found a little waterfall on the property. I'm glad we ended up driving through Alabama, because so far the whole state is GORGEOUS.Walmart+ delivers here.I noticed a few police cars hanging out in the parking lot waiting for action last night. Part of me wonders, Is that necessary? Is this not as nice of an area as it appears? But I suppose it does keep it safer overall. There are a lot of beetle-type bugs on the property, which may get mistaken for roaches. I'm from Las Vegas which may be the roach capital of the world, and the bugs here definitely aren't roaches. These bugs aren't aggressive. They don't fly at me or chase me or bite me or get in my way or try to takeover the domicile - they just sit on the outside walls and mind their business. When one does fly inside, I kill it right away. I would imagine there's nothing they can do about outside bugs. If you're super skeezed out by bugs, you may not want to stop in any of these humid states (and also avoid Las Vegas).I would definitely visit Alabama intentionally in the future, and would stay at this hotel again.

This place is great! The Airbnb I had reserved left me high & dry so I had to find a place to stay at the last minute on a Fri night. Red Roof Inn had a room available! The staff was friendly & helpful, the room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was great. Best of all, it was only $10 more than the Airbnb I had originally reserved! Next time I'm in the area, I'll go here first instead messing around with an Airbnb!

We had to find a place to stay last minute. The clerk was more than accommodating. Great price and very clean/comfortable. Everyone made us feel at home in a stressful situation. Will definitely return to this location for my future UAB visits.Esther

If you’re reading this review, highly recommended you stay elsewhere! We arrived in the room and immediately saw a lot of roaches. Went into the bathroom and several roaches in the shower. We had to have seen over 40 roaches in the 15 minutes we were in the room. Went to tell the front desk guy and he was almost offended by it, and denied they even have roaches and they would switch us to another room. We left and got refunded but I would highly recommend staying somewhere else.

This is a nice place. Everything about it was a pleasant experience. Kymone at the front desk was extremely professional, and her recommendations for dining were spot on.The room was clean, ice machine worked and parking was safe.

The room was remodeled and all in all pretty nice. The beds were comfy and nice floors no carpet. This hotel was alright for us. It was quiet and peaceful. If we are in the area we would stay there again. The lady in the front office was friendly and took care of us right away.

They have remolded and the rooms look great. The sheets were clean but the comforter was dirty. The maid was very accommodating. I think they should outsource their laundry to guarantee clean bedding. Towels could also be better. Overall great stay.

Cathy at the front desk is absolutely amazing! We (frequent guests) miss Ms. Johnnie, but Cathy has become our greatest representation of what it means to be welcomed, feel appreciated and valued! Txs

I give this hotel and staff a 11 out of 10! Cathy is amazing! I call this hotel my other home while I’m working! It’s clean, it’s quiet, and all around a nice room. The air will freeze you out! The fridge actually stays cold. The beds are clean and comfy!

We were very hot and tired, a dip in the pool would have been great but it hasn't been open since covid. The sheets on the bed are itchy and rough. Room was clean.

The staff was very nice , but I would truly reconsider staying here they have a bed bug problem and roaches . They were also dead bugs on the ceiling above the shower . I felt I was owed a complete refund . I check in around 10:30pm and left out around 4:00am . I knew I kept feeling something in my sleep but wasn’t sure what it was until I pulled the cover back off me . I will never go back to this hotel nor would I recommend it to anyone I know.

Nice little gem off the highway. Paid $85 for the night. Big clean room with a comfortable king bed. Parking right at your room door. Cable TV. Checkin staff was really nice. Fresh morning coffee.
