Beautiful room and amazing service. The location isn't in the best part of town, you only have about 1 block to safely venture. The surrounding area made me sad to see so many homeless and run down buildings. At night it's very loud between sirens, vehicles passing blaring music, and loud mufflers. The building itself is beautiful, a nice mix between modern and historic. But the reason I would come back in a heart beat is the service. Everyone was kind and accommodating from cleaning staff to valet, but the two who made a very important mark was Latara (I think this was her name, my apologies if I got it wrong but she was working the front desk on 7/12 and 7/14), and Terrance from The Yard.
Latara was always so happy and kind, she went above and beyond for my family. She noticed we were 3 people and gave extra towels and water. She's an amazing, kind spirit.
Terrance was also amazing and kind. We noticed him the first day at breakfast being happy and smiling at 7:30am. He served us for breakfast on our last day and was the same happy bubbly server who was an amazing start to our day. He has a contagious laugh that made his wonderful service that much memorable.
If I could give this place ten stars I would and it would be because of these two individuals alone!

Overall, I thought the Elyton was a very good hotel. But when comparing it to other Autograph Collection options I've visited, it came up a little short.
The room was very nice, and you can't beat the location in the middle of downtown Birmingham. I only stayed one night, and ate at the in-house restaurant (The Yard) for both dinner and breakfast. The meals were excellent, if a little pricey (not unexpected). Dinner for two (with alcohol) ran about $150, and breakfast was about $50. However, I was disappointed by the rooftop bar. The building itself is one of the taller ones in the city, so I expected a good panoramic view. However, most of the views were obscured by wood barriers and plantings, save for one small 15 foot section. Without the views, it's a fairly standard, expensive hotel bar. A sangria and mule cost $50. If I travel through the city again, I'm more likely to pick a more economical option.

Nice hotel, but the best part was Dan the valet worker. Gave us great recommendations and superb customer service. Just wish the hotel had more bell carts.

Had a great stay overnight in Birmingham. Everything was OK. I personally don't think it's worth the cost per night but that's just me. Probably cost of living and what you have to pay to keep good people so I understand
No freezer in the room. This was one thing I inquired about and couldn't find online. Maybe this will help someone with same question.

This hotel was great. The beds and pillows were some of the comfiest I’ve ever slept on.
Staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant attached was amazing, rooms were updated, clean and well-stocked. The perfect downtown Birmingham hotel. We walked to railroad park and had breakfast on the way back. We’d definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The restaurant is amazing. When we checked into our room we had a gum wrapper and a used tissue in the window seal and a chew piece of gum stuck to the wall. When we took a video and showed the front desk all we were offered was a $20 credit to the hotel without an apology. All we wanted was a clean room.

Great views, I love rooftop bars. Rooms a bit on the small side but they definitely have character, very nice....

Over-priced, loud, unbearably hot except for the water in the shower!
This hotel is some kind of corporate backwater whose management has forgotten they are in hospitality. Avoid this place at all costs.

The rooms were nice and updated. Centrally located. Downtown Birmingham has a street racing problem on weekends into the wee hours of the night, so if you have a room facing 2nd Ave this can be a huge problem for light sleepers. The front desk was aware but didn’t even have ear plugs for guests which would a cheap amenity. Hopefully they will take this feedback and hopefully the city can do something about this major disruption.

This hotel is 5 stars all the way! We checked in late on Thursday 12/8/22. The lady who checked us in was so helpful and friendly. The lobby was beautiful. The hotel is one of the most unique hotels we’ve seen. Our room was clean and luxurious. The staff from valet, bellhop, and housekeeping was friendly and helpful. Management should be so proud of their staff! We will be back!

The staff remembered us and treated us like we lived there. The food service was wonderful and an overwhelming amount of food!
Rooms: I had a corner room for close to a week, and it felt like a home away from home!
