So. Many. Options. So many great food places. Savory, sweet, things to take home and cook, booze, all of it. Seating is hard to find inside but there's a good area outside with counter height tables to stand and grub!

So much of Philly food, drink and shop in those locations it's almost mind boggling! It's all quite fresh and for a location with so much variety you would think it's unclean, but it's not. Very impressed indeed!

I'm at a lost for words... the Reading Terminal Market is a must for any tourists, and locals! The food options and quality are amazing! Such a fun location, with food from across the globe, prepared and presented in its original form.

The best food hall and market in Philly. (I think it's even better than Chelsea). You could spend months here still not eat everything!

We went here when in town to see a friend's naturalization ceremony. This is a food lover's dream with so many choices, it feels like a Cheesecake Factory menu come to life. You won't be disappointed if you choose to have lunch or dinner here. That's all I have to say about that.

As we come into the 20th year of reviews on Yelp, it's business pages like these that make me SO grateful to have years with of historical customer experiences that help chart the history of how a place has grown, changed, and evolved throughout the years. In a historic and venerable institution like Reading Terminal Market that acts as a guide post of sorts for the city itself, it's fun to see how sentiment has remained strong even though booths and vendors and have changed over. It's easy to see why: the market is pure magic. Well, except when it's Flower Show weekend and your parents are visiting from out of town and you walk in to chaos and everyone is overstimulated and you try and be all "SEE IT'S AMAZING" but all they say is "what???" and then I am like "want a rum butter muffin from Bieler's?" and they are like "HUH? Can we leave? I can barely move!" So, try and be strategic in planning your visit. I find weekday mornings and afternoons to be the best for actually finding a place to sit and enjoy all that the market has to offer. I also recommend going in with some semblance of a plan. Yes, do walk around and window shop to get inspired by all of the amazing food and goods, but also have your "can't miss" booths at the ready. Some inspiration to guide you on your RTM journey, since whatever Philadelphia food experience you're looking to have can be cultivated here: + Looking for a classic Philadelphia sandwich experience? I recommend a roast pork and broccoli rabe hoagie from DiNic's. Be ready to order when you step up to the line. + Looking to curb your sweet tooth? The Beiler's donuts and bakery stands are both ready for you. There will be a line but it moves fast and is worth the wait. I also (see above and also my individual review for Beiler's) have to recommend you put the BUTTER RUM MUFFIN INTO YOUR MOUTH. I think about this muffin like twice a week. Just do it. + Looking for Thanksgiving food in the middle of summer? The Original Turkey has gobbler-style sandwiches year-round that are excellent. + Breakfast? Dutch Eating Place. Do not pass go do not collect any money just go here and sit at the counter if there's seating, or take to go. Order the Apple Dumplings or pancakes. + Kismet Bialy's for baked savory breakfast food to take a walk with. + Saami Somi for Georgian cheeseboats (worth noting that this spot is on the top 50 places to eat in Philly list). + Ice cream? Bassett's is family-owned and has been operating in Philly (specifically in the market) since 1861. You can also find their pints in stores but don't miss the in-person experience. + This is Yelp so the name of the game is supporting local. Head over to PA Libations if you're in the *spirit* to learn more about locally-made liquor. Wide variety of bottles available and they put a nice emphasis on education. That's like...not even close to an exhaustive list, as I didn't even mention any of the wonderful storefronts where you can grab your seafood, meat, and produce, but it's a good start! I've made many visits to the market and still feel like I've barely scratched the surface in terms of understanding all it is has to offer. I highly recommend giving the market's website a visit as it is very user friendly and helps you understand the wide breadth of offerings. I look forward to my next visit to the market and to seeing it continue to evolve!

So many things to try and buy. Probably could find a cuisine from every part of the world. There is something for everyone. The first time I went there years ago, it was super cornered and found it overwhelming, the last two times this week, it's been quieter-- maybe due to the day of the week or weather? But it was nice to be able to browse without feeling like a sardine. Everything I've eaten here has been tops. A definite must when in Philly.

Such an awesome place to go eat and get some awesome food! Food choices from around the world, from breakfast, lunch, to dinner and dessert! I've been there a lot of times now, and never had a bad meal at a single place!! The only thing i wish they had is some more spots to eat. It's hard to find a table, and as a family of 6. It's not exactly easy to just stand up and eat. I often find myself just finding a table with a few spots open and asking to join in with other people. Aside from that. Love the place!

If you're in Philly for more than a day, you have to include this -- especially for lunch. I've been to Philly twice and both times this was a stop that I not only looked forward to, but came away REALLY happy with. It is and will be PACKED, but they have pretty much any type of food you could imagine. My tip: go in expecting to share with your family and friends so you can try more or you'll miss out on things you'd love to try (or feeling awful after.) If you see an open table with chairs, snag it ASAP.

I love food markets. They are a food lover's paradise. Reading Market Terminal's origins go back over a century ago. They are an indoor farmer's market that offers diverse fare in the heart of Philadelphia. The Market was revitalized in the 90's and became what it is today. I love walking around here. There is always so much activity here and lots of vendors to choose from. It would be hard for me to list the best places to eat here. The first time I came here I had cinnamon-scented apple dumplings for breakfast at the Dutch Eating Place and a latte at Old City Coffee. A cannoli at Termini Brothers Bakery and ice cream at Bassetts are a must. Tommy DiNic's Roast Pork, Flying Monkey, Miller's Twist and Beiler's Doughnuts are also hot spots for food. Everyone you ask in Philly is going to have a different opinion on what's best. The best thing to do is just walk around and grab a bite at the place that grabs your attention. Some places have seating or you can sit at one of the picnic tables in the center of the market. There are walking food tours that take place here at Reading Terminal Market if you want to sample food from a variety of places. I think they are a lot of fun and it is a great way to learn some history about the city. They also have a cookbook with recipes if you want to try and make some of their popular dishes at home.

Great family place for little kids. Many many choices and good food to try. Also cute to have a walk around after lunch.
