An amazing store to spend your time in, would recommend it to anybody! There's a great variety of everything from home decor to clothing to DVDs all at good prices.

The layout of the store is more like a house... a house that belonged to your eccentric uncle, whom you rarely saw but always liked. It's perpetually in a strange and dream-like state, slightly twisted, sometimes ghoulish. An art experiment with no coherence.Shopping here entails a tacit acceptance of the surreal and unsettling. You'll see people changing clothes, right in the open, with no shame or concern. A Svengali assortment of things bequeathed from an aunt's attic, a grandmother's basement, a child's bedroom that has been outgrown. Things that was once loved, but now want to be forgotten. All colliding and accumulating into a single place and time. Everything is slightly broken, dusty, chipped, damaged, but still functional. Ready for a second chance.Similarly, are the workers. A motley crew of misfits. The store attracts shoppers of a similar vibe. Those willing to dip their toe in the peculiar. Nothing about PAT can be fathomed.PAT is a staple of Queen's Village and brings with it a sense of community solidarity. You'll see people from all different walks of life here and transcends what a "store" can be. Philly Aids Thrift has become symbolic for political activism in support of LGBTQ rights and concerns. It's no wonder that this store is often swarmed with shoppers and generous donors. It's a commitment to an idea.

Fun place. Lots of different themed sections and rooms with all kinds of cool knick knacks and clothing. Organized. Big, can easily spend a few hours in there. Very much appeals to the millenial/gen z crowd so I wouldn’t say this is a good family thrift environment. Now for the not-so-positive…calling it a thrift store seems like a stretch. It’s more of a curated vintage store. Some of their prices are reasonable but some are just far fetched. $80 for a vintage sun dress that was tattered, had stains, and was all pinned up. Tag proudly boasted the ridiculous price along with “pins and all!!! :)” written in sharpie, which felt condescending.I should have probably guessed that at any place where the staff writes buzz phrases on tags like “it’s givinggggg sis!!” i’m probably not going to find the best priced merchandise. But still, some of the prices are silly.Maybe philly natives understand the appeal. I honestly didn’t. It was a fun experience, but definitely a one and done for me.

The single best store in Philadelphia. I live around the block and find everything I could need at pennies on the dollar.Incredible, kinda, funny staff. Stuff rotates in and out quickly. All for a good mission.

How do you even review a place like Philly AIDS Thrift? It's an absolute treasure hunt in the best way. Sometimes you find the most amazing pieces and think "score!" and other times it's a miss. They have everything you'd think of a larger thrift store. Clothes, jewelry, pottery, paintings, DVD's, old cords if you need to replace one, board games, kitchenware, costumes, dresses, shoes, furniture, purses, lamps, decorations, and books. SO. MANY. BOOKS. You could spend 5 minutes in there, you could spend 5 hours in there. You could come home with gold or go home empty handed. The choice is yours and if you don't find anything, come back the next day - who knows what somebody may have donated. As far as donations go, they are super friendly and helpful. You just go into the door next to the entrance and drop your items off - no questions asked. They handle everything. Also, you have to love a store that supports a good cause and is fueled by volunteers and promotes health and wellness. Happy treasure hunting!

My favorite spot in Philly.I always find great random stuff. Plus they support local artists and community. Definitely a Philly staple. It’s fun to explore aside from cheap finds

Play Parsley, the best thrift store on the entire eastern seaboard. The dollar bins are legendary.

I donated a decent number of clothes and toys to Philly Aids Thrift and the process was very efficient and smooth. I called ahead to check until what time they were accepting donations and also informed them I’d be coming with a few bags of clothes. When I arrived, I let them know I where I parked and a staff member quickly offloaded my bags and brought them inside. They gave me a slip for tax purposes and I was on my way in a matter of minutes. (I counted my items prior.) Overall, I had a great experience donating to this store and I will be coming back again (next time to shop - they had some very cool items displayed!)

Nice thrift shop. They do sell some vintage items but they are priced above 10$. Bought some skirts for my sister. No public restroom so pee before you go or grab food across the street.

A nice place to go buy secondhand stuff but the problem is I feel that somethings are over priced.

It has that "dig to find" treasure vibe and has a lot of stock. Pretty good prices and great atmosphere. Staff are friendly and courteous- would definitely recommend if you are a bargain shopper or like an eclectic DIY vibe.
