“I love this store! They have an incredible selection of art supplies and everyone that works there is friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside is that I want to buy everything in the store.”

“"Mostly Books" is an understatement. "More books than you can shake a stick at" is a more fitting description. A really special place that I'm glad we popped into.”

“Such a genuinely great guy Steve is while he helped me make decisions on what to buy based on my budget. He’s amazing actually; engaging, welcoming; interested; and brilliant. You have a Huge variety of everything spiritual. I haven’t seen this much unique and beautiful variety in a long time.Steve really cares too; he individually wrapped each little gem stone, made everything really special; taking extra care to wrap these feathers from a dream catcher carefully and thoughtfully. This store is top notch quality. Thank you! Jason C”

“I love this place. You can’t really buy singles here bc their pricing is wonky but the store is nice, the staff is top notch, and I’ve never had an issue with a player here. And most importantly this is a great place for my wife to play and feel welcome which has more value than I can express in this limited space. The store has some areas it could improve but in the areas that matter most it is exceptional.”

“I am a resident of South Philly, and I visited last week for their weekly Yugioh local. Although getting there was a trek and a half, the people there welcomed this newcomer. On the time I write this, I am on my way there for the second time, so I guess that also says something.”

“My family and I stopped by while walking through Center City. Brian O. was very helpful. He took lots of time to answer our questions and show us some coins. It was a great experience. I highly recommend Stack's Bowers if you are a numismatist in the Philly area.”

“A cute store in the heart of Philly. Decent selection of comics, trades, hardcovers, and children's books. Role-playing books. Character figurines. We walked in 40 minutes before closing, and the clerk was super helpful and genuinely nice.”

“If you have graduated from craft store supplies (like the basic Michaels stuff) and need the RIGHT type and quality tools and materials, this is your place. Like heaven for artists.”

“I came in less than 48 hours before Mother’s Day and asked to have a fairly large piece of artwork framed as a gift for my mom. Despite being incredibly busy Stephanie took the time to help me through the process of choosing a frame, matting colors etc. I’m admittedly clueless so I deferred to her suggestions and I’m so glad that I did. She got it done with time to spare and it was gorgeous. When I gave it to my mom she cried. And I do NOT have a mom that cries, lol. I’m so beyond happy with how it turned out and I will definitely be back with more business.”

“Great lay out of New and Current books. Nice $1 comic selection. Ehile their "back issues" isn't the largest selection, they have the best group deal and I was able to close some gaps in my collection. Definitely visit them first before back issue hunting in Philly.”

“Everytime I go in there all of the employees are so pleasant. And the store is always organized and very clean. Great place for both children and adults to find their next craft.”

“Being an artist, this is my go to supply store for frames, acrylic paint, canvases, colored pencils and paint markers. Besides having all of the good craft supplies, I feel like I'm not getting ripped off. The staff is kind and friendly.”

“I was looking up things to do in Philadelphia during my brief visit and....the reviews on this store crack me up. For anyone who doesn't know, merchandise like this (Sanrio, rilakkuma/korilakkuma, etc) is going to be pretty pricey anywhere besides Japan. Coming from the Bay Area, the prices here were pretty reasonable. The owner (I'm assuming) was kindly reminding all who came in to hand sanitize as all the guests were touching the items. I ended up picking a cute coin purse I've never seen before of my favorite character from this stop. Tips: * It's a little warm inside so be prepared for that. I was sweating when I left after a quick stop in. * They require ID if you pay with credit card. Highly recommend stopping by if you like cute Japanese wares!”
