Only gave a 1 cause couldn't give a 0. Dirty nasty place and the management are the rudest individuals I have ever met. Stay away.

One of the last small town type grocery stores! I don't know how long they can last, but I hope they stave off Walmart for a long time.

Compact supermarket with a surprisingly large selection. Their meat section is outstanding - high quality, locally sourced.

Daily specials are nice, but if you forget your 16oz beverage the clerk won't remind you to get one.

My sister and her son came here to shop and because she had a disagreement with a worker there online awhile back ago they kicked her and her son out after shopping and waiting for them to cash out and not serving them, kids don’t deserve to be apart of whatever petty unprofessional behavior this is. I have shopped here for a long time, I Will never shop here again!

Seamans is one of the last few old Athens family buisnesses. The prices are higher than the other corporate groceries, but they do have decent meats and other local products and stuff that the competition do not stock. They have always been a west side staple buisness. They also have a decent beer selection. I love family buisnesses and I went to school with a couple of the Seamans and if I am over on that side of town and need something I will definitely swing by and pick up the items needed. I just wish that more of the family run grocery stores were still around between Seamans, C&E IGA, Bob's Pick Pack, Super Duper, all were locally owned and it's sad to see all of them are gone now except for Seamans. I Hope that they are around for decades to come and it reminds me of when I was a kid and going to Seamans it has not changed much. I have never had a problem with any of the staff as well like some have mentioned before. My experience is that they have always been polite, helpful, and respectful so I think that those who have had issues with staff just had sour grapes over something petty and trivial when I have been going there for 40 + years to the students 4 or 5 years who are just being petty and entitled.I love that they have been able to stay in buisness when all the other locally owned grocers have all closed because of the saturation of the corporate grocery stores such as Krogers, Aldi, Wal-Mart and Save A Lot. All of them have their share of garbage employees who should be fired but will probably just play the victim role and file a lawsuit against the corporate store because they were fired because they are gay, black, Asian, etc and not because they are just worthless, lazy, woke, entitled, cry babies that get triggered by everything and everyone. I tend to try and avoid the woke buisnesses that are for the identity politics and tend to just don't care about the customers just themselves but thankfully not st Seamans since they typically have highered locals who know better when they were been in buisness longer than xkp,.p

Overpriced is one thing. But to be harassed by some Entitled manager with hippy hair about carrying my emotional support dog. Then to get to the end of the isle to get harassed by some cashier making 8$ an hour! Like for real off! This place sucks! I haven't been there in 22 years until I moved back and went in the other day and it's a bunch of over priced items, small selections, jerk offs working for Penny's questioning me about my emotional support dog which is 100% AGAINST THE LAW

A good grocery near the downtown. A little more expensive than Walmart or Kroger, but really good if you don't have a car.
