I've got a bothersome noise coming from my car right now and every time I hear it I think, "I might drive all the way back to Kearney to have them take a look at it." “We are so thankful to Jerry at JC auto repair!! We were headed home from a road trip to Utah and stopped in Kearney to get gas. When we stopped we heard a terrible grinding noise coming from our driver’s side rear tire. JC auto repair was close to the interstate so we stopped to see if Jerry could help. He figured out right away what was wrong and got it fixed and us on the road in less than 30 minutes!! He was so nice, helpful, and charged us much less than we felt we should have paid. “I took my Honda Shadow Aero 750 to replace the original headlight with an LED headlight I had purchased and to re-wire my all-around LED lights to the ignition switch. Those lights had been connected directly to the battery by a mechanic in another shop which was draining my battery too quickly, but I had Great Plains Motorcycle Services re-wire the lights to the ignition. The tech I spoke with communicated everything very well with me. In the end, I was very happy with their work. It was excellent and not too costly. Just what I expected. I also had these guys change a front tire for me not too long ago and they also did a great job of that. I highly recommend these guys. They also work rapidly and efficiently.After writing the above review and reading the review of others, I decided to add this bit. I had called the motorcycle shop near the Interstate to see if they could change out my normal light to the LED light and re-wire or add a switch to LED lights. Their question was, "What kind of bike is it?' As soon as I told them it was for a Honda Shadow Aero, they told me, "Nope, sorry, we don't work on Hondas." But when I called GPM, I got none of that. They were ready and willing to work on it and they did it professionally at that.Thanks guys. May your business prosper many times over.”

“I definitely feel that just a "thank you" is not enough. Moving from SF to Moline Illinois I thought I did everything right. Had my car serviced, gave instructions to check fluids, battery,breaks belts , letting them know about my 2000 ml trip to Illinois in winter, i had no reason to believe they wouldn't do what was right etc.. $700 later I was feeling secure that my car that I purchased 5 months prior was set to go. After driving 1289 ml. Approximately my check engine light came on, started losing heat & fan stayed on constantly. At the same time I was smack in the middle of a blizzard as I approached Nebraska I Pulled over checked into a hotel & the real nightmare began! $2000. Later , 6 days later, hotel costs & stress angered me so very much, It reminded me why I was leaving CA! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO MENIEKE OF OAKLAND CA! Ty he didn't do anything they said they did! My trust level wass at ZERO until I found Kearney Auto service & tires. They went above & beyond to get me back on the road without breaking my bank account. I'm forever grateful! “0n 6/7/23, my wife and I, while traveling through Nebraska from Colorado on our way back home to Wisconsin, our vehicle blew its alternator drive belt, leaving us stranded on I-80 near Kearney. After several calls to tow companies and some local mechanics, we were referred to Apex Mechanics as a possible location where they could immediately repair our vehicle (not leaving us stranded overnight for repair the next day). I can not say enough good things about this facility and the men who own/run it. After being towed in (late in the afternoon), the mechanics went to work on our vehicle, assessing if there were any other problems, other than just a broken drive belt. After determining it was just a broken belt, and learning that there were three different (lengths) belts made for my vehicle, they stayed open after hours to repair our vehicle and get us back on the road to home! Hopefully, I will never break down again while traveling through Kearney, but if I did (or if I lived in the area), I would go back to this business in a heartbeat, as finding a garage like this, where the mechanics actually care more about their customers, then just making a profit (they charged us a fair rate, no extra fee for the emergency repair) is priceless! Thank you again for your great service and for helping someone who was in need of help.”

I was able to pickup the part at the local stealership and called Noel because the Chevy place wouldn't fit me in. “Having never been to Matt before, I decided to take a chance and try using him. After today I intend to use him again going forward. The impression I got of Matt when I first met him is that he is a pretty diligent guy in that he will listen to you when you talk. That was the first thing I noticed. After he did a diagnostic and figured out what the problem was, he called me to discuss what the diagnosis was and what it would cost. The issue was resolved and the car drives fine. Matt was honest with me... that's the main reason that I decided to leave a positive review.... because he's honest just tells you what the problem at hand is... no more and no less. Overall he comes across to me as the type of person who wants to do the job in the most correct way possible... not necessarily just to get it done super fast... but to do it right. He takes his time. He spent some extra time with the car after the repair to test drive it to make sure it was right before giving the car back to me... which I thought was nice. Having a car problem and needing repairs is already stressful enough... but by going here you'll get a cut above when it comes to the service side of things. Just an easy person to deal with.”

“Back in March of 2023 the engine went out on my 2000 Chevy S10...when everyone else said they couldn't find an engine, and if they did find one, it would be 1 1/2 to 2 months, Lonnie was able to find one and have it installed in a little less than 4 weeks...Lonnie explained in detail what the repairs would be and why they were needed and the total cost of the repair was right around the same as the quote that he gave me.The only extra costs were incurred by extra repairs that I had them do, which Lonnie was happy to take care of. Here we are 5 months later and the engine and the A/C compressor they installed are both working GREAT!!! So happy to have a running truck with working A/C again!
