“This is definitely my favorite Binny's of all. The store is spacious and clean. The craft beer selection is amazing, the bourbon selection is second to none, the discount rack is often full of gems. The parking lot is also very spacious and easy to get in and out of. The restrooms are spotless. I can't say enough about this place. I love it. It's my favorite Binny's by far, and I've been to many of them. Highly recommended.”

“Family-owned small business. Never crowded. Staff is always friendly and the liquor selection seems to be very extensive. If you are in the neighborhood and need to, stop by this place and support a local small business.”

“I still rave about this place. I don't know if the owner is still Scott with his sweet lil dog that I can't remember the name of at the moment, but every trip there was like a brief vacation or break from life. Scott would bust out his laser pointer and show you which region on the map (that he painted) the spirit or wine came from... man I've tried so many great spirits and wines there... I moved before he really got into the beer side of things but he did have a really cool corner of boutique bitters made by little old ladies in different parts of the globe... I always tell friends going to Chicago that this spot is a must see for any person who loves a good wine & spirits shop.”

“I had an extremely positive experience shopping at Superior Wine & Liquor -- Nick & staff could not be more friendly & welcoming. The store had everything you could ever want. Superior Wine & Liquor will be my go-to choice going forward -- their customer service is unmatched.”

“The food was awesome. The quantity was very good, the bread was very fresh and soft and it had plenty of meat. The seasonings and stuff they put on The Sandwich made them taste extremely good. I was very impressed with everything there. I've been to a lot of places and I've eaten a lot of food but this place really is a hidden gem. I really like it there and the cost was reasonable as well. The service was great, the place was clean and I liked everything about it especially the taste of the food.”

“We went back to Citrine for pre-concert eats on our way to Chicago. This is a Mediterranean-type restaurant. Cocktails are good, food is good. Service is impeccable. Our server this visit was Theo, and he was attentive and friendly. The other staff from the young woman who sat us to the guys who delivered food and cleared the table were attentive and always gave us a smile. My husband and I started out with a glass of wine and a cocktail. We decided once again to share small plates together. We had the New York strip steak tartare. It's absolutely fabulous so we had to have it again. Fresh steak with a raw egg on top that oozes into the steak as you break it, it's perfection. We also got the homemade lepinja bread served warm with a couple spreads. I can't eat nuts or seeds and it came out covered with sesame seeds. No problem, Theo was more than happy to take it back and have bread made just for me without seeds. That's great service. We then shared the roasted beet salad which had arugula, goat cheese, avocado, and orange. It was a very small salad for the price of $14. Having said that, the salad was fresh and I liked the different textures, but it was the size of a small side salad and not worth the price. I would pass on this my next visit. The final dish we shared was the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were large and grilled perfectly, the grits were creamy. This dish was packed with flavor and some heat. Delicious. Citrine accepts reservations and parking is paid street parking. I definitely recommend this restaurant and you must try the steak tartare. So damn delicious!”

“Kol Tuv is a hidden gem on Devon Ave in Chicago. It is a specialty grocery store that carries an eclectic variety of foods that cater to all different populations. They have all the items you would find in a typical grocery store plus gluten free, dairy free, kosher, gourmet etc. When you go, you must check out the selection of chocolates and candies. The staff is friendly and helpful and the store is immaculate. This store makes grocery shopping fun and exciting! Hope you love it as much as we do!”

“I stopped in after a show at the Chicago theater. It was in super close proximity and the perfect end to my night. I got the fish and chips with truffle fries and it slapped like a mf. It was so good. Probably the best fish and chips I ever had. I started with a Caesar salad and their tuna tartare. All were very good. Whitney was my server and shoutout to her because she was super nice. I’d highly recommend dropping by if you’re in the area.”

“Really great wine store! The staff is also incredibly helpful. I will often come here saying "I am looking for something that tastes like a pinot nior, or pinot gris, etc." and they can easily point me in the right direction of a unique natural wine similar in flavor profile. We are so lucky to have such a cool wine store in this neighborhood!”

“Sometimes it's hard for me to try the relatively new places. I'm decidedly old school when it comes to burger joints or any joint for that matter. All the bells and whistles and n many of the new spots just don't add up to good grub meat ch less great grub. Not the case with Bitter Pops by a long shot. Sure they are kinda new and are a good looking joint with all the bells and whistles, great decor, nice bar, etc. etc. you just assume the burgers are gonna be just meh. The smash burger here is pretty bomb is all I can say. A very righteous burger in a land of too many average burgers. The double smash patties are cooked just right and crispy on the edges. Topped with the bare minimum you get to actually taste meat and not a slather of toppings. They ration of smash burger to toppings is on time. Accompanied by a side of house chips is the right move. You don't even need to add anything on this smash burger. I'm be if those guys who always adds ketchup mayo whatever. Not so with Bitter Pops burger. The service is excellent as well. We sat at the bar with a really cool and pretty female bartender. I wish I recall her name but I'll get it next time. She was knowledgeable about the offerings and super friendly. That's half of the experience and she hit it outta the park. Try these folks at Bitter Pops you won't regret it.”

“Only the best place to shop for all things of personal joy. The owner is the best… even if he’s never around ?. The head of operations, Matt, is the best meditating buff boy! He knows all the answers to your questions. Make sure you visit this place weekly to truly get the feeling that you are part of something bigger than just a store. A misfit family, always looking for new applicants of wonder. The music.. forever on point in the store. Cameron will beat you any day at Beerio Kart and charm your socks off.GO NOW!”

“I just don't think the other review is an accurate representation of this store. Maybe it was a misunderstanding like they were trying to make sure he was able to legally purchase his beer by getting to the register in time.”

“Great variety of hard to find craft beers. Seems to be moving more in that direction (Craft section getting bigger) which is a good thing. Don't let the exterior fool you.”

“Love this wine shop. It's an intimate space and seating is 1st come 1st served. They offer more than wine (liquor & beer) and they have non-alcoholic options. I discovered the Gruvi (alcohol removwd red wine) brand here. They have small bites that are actually pretty delicious. It's also a beverage depot so if you dont want to sit, pick a bottle and go!”

“The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of their merchandise. The price is a bit pricier than some other liquor stores a little south and west of them, but the convenience of the location is great.”

“It was our anniversary. We were treated generously from the moment we sat down. We had mussels, carrots, mushroom (bartola), and lamb ribs. Everything was excellent: service and food. The dishes were unlike anything we've had elsewhere. Our new favorite restaurant. We'll be back often.”

“The patatas bravas are a MUST. Our server was lovely (Geneva) and the drinks were excellent (I got a Bees' Knees and my partner got a daiquiri). Perfect for date night without breaking the bank. Food also arrived quickly, so we had no worries about making our movie. Would absolutely visit again.”

“I stopped in here after stopping at almost a dozen other stores looking specifically for a bottle of Uncle Nearest, but also any great local bourbon that I could be pointed in the direction of, as I'm in town from Florida. Not a single one of the many stores I stopped in prior had anyone who seemed to be knowledgeable on the inventory and friendly, Vas Foremost was a totally different story. When we walked in we were greeted by a woman who wanted to know what we wanted and if she could help us find those items. She wasnt familiar but immediately got another gentlemans attention who took us right to the Uncle Nearest (if u are in Chicago and looking for it, they have 4 more bottles) and he then pointed me to a great locally distilled bourbon that was Fantastic. Highly recommend going here, wide selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff and great prices.”

“Tried something different on the menu this time. The skillet with roast was ok, and the French toast was bland. This is still one of my favorite restaurants, just not everything is a ‘hit'.”

“The best family owned corner store in Roscoe Village. I don't do my grocery shopping here, but if I ever need milk, wine, or a pint of Ben & Jerry's I walk over. They also have a big selection of beer and seltzers. Takes credit and debit. Love the convenience. Love the family! They are such good people and are always there to look for a product or listen to you talk about your day. They even ordered more of a product knowing I kept coming in for it! Thank you, Damen Food & Liquor!”

“I try not to eat a lot of sweets, so when I do, I want to make sure they’re exceptional. I love the cookies ? that are made in house. They also have a great selection of Jeni’s ice cream ? which is priced lower than the chain grocery stores. There is also an extensive selection of beers. ? Parking is convenient and the staff is friendly.”

“This place is near my office and they have the best sandwiches. I particularly love that they have options for vegetarian sandwiches. The Paulie Walnuts portobello mushroom sandwich is my absolute favorite. They also have some of the best roast beef around. their staff are really friendly and helpful!”

“Came in the last 30 mins before closing and the lady at the register wasn't bothered at all.I felt bad because the guy just mopped the floor but they were so chill about it.I've come in the last "hour" for a lot of places and they are so mad.. to see me walk in..?.Also I spend a whole 20 mins looking around and all I can say is they have a great selection and at even better prices .Baught the same pint of henny from a store a mile away and it was a whole $3. Cheaper here.”

“This place is a hidden gem. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Even though we came in almost at closing time we weren’t rushed. We were given samples without pressure to buy. Prices are extremely reasonable and the selection is abundant. Do yourself a favor and stop in here. I wish we were local, instead of just visiting. This would definitely be our go to store.”
