Quirky, unprofessional staff members make bad decisions and are covered for by other staff. Something’s wrong here.

Recently had a god awful experience at Glenview Animal Hospital which put my dog through so much unnecessary pain. I brought my dog in for a tumor removal in which he was horribly stitched up. A few days later, the stitches began to dehisce (split apart). We immediately brought him in so the doc could take a look at it. Aside from the staff lacking any sort of compassion or warmth towards my baby who was in pain from his stitches literally ripping apart, we were sent home and told that he will be fine and that the wound would heal on its own. Days later, every single stitch popped open and the wound completely tore apart. I rushed him back to Glenview Animal Hospital because his MUSCLE was now protruding through skin and his blood was getting everywhere. When we got there, the doc took a look at it and once again said that there was nothing they can do. Crazy right? These people refused to stitch up my dog because quote "the same thing could happen again". Instead, their idea was putting a mesh sling on him to cover up the wound so that blood wouldn't get everywhere. However, once we got home and took off the sling, the friction from the harsh material rubbing against the open wound caused it to open up even more, worsening the already large open wound. My poor dog. We ended up taking him to another hospital in the area which probably saved his life. They immediately took him in, stitched him up, and now, weeks later, his wound is healed with no complications. It was heartbreaking seeing my dog in such agonizing pain, knowing that his doctor, whom we trusted, couldn't care less to help him and only made the pain worse.

My fur baby is very people and dog reactive so it’s always pretty stressful for both of us when it’s time for a vet visit. My pup is definitely a handful but the vet and the technicians are so incredibly kind, patient and understanding with our needs.I can’t express my gratitude and appreciation for this vet clinic enough. I wish I could offer more than 5 stars. Great services, fair prices, incredibly kind staff! Thank you for all that you do, you are so appreciated!

We cannot say enough good things about Glenview Animal Hospital. We began care with them during an especially critical time in our beloved pup's life and are beyond impressed with the extremely high level of efficient and compassionate care we've experienced with every single person we've come into contact with. Special shoutouts to Dr. Schoen and Dr. Kanter. Bruce loves and appreciates you all, and we do, too!

Glenview Animal Hospital was recommended by a neighbor when I lived in the townhomes behind the hospital. I've been a client since 2010 when both my cats were ill with parasites. They took me on a moment's notice right before New Year's Eve. That staff is always friendly and compassionate. They are there when you need them. Fast forward 13 years later, they took me at a moment's notice when my beloved Persian cat, Smokey, got sick. Chis, the lady that manages the front office, made sure I got in right away with Dr. David Cohen. That was always the case if Smokey was having a medical emergency. They took me right away. You will not find a vetrinarian doctor that cares more about your pet more than Dr. Cohen. After Smokey was relieved of his 3rd urinary blockage, I chose to take my cat home rather than transport him to urgent care as he was a purebred approaching 14 years. Dr. Cohen followed up with me on his days off and holidays to see how the cat was doing. I've had a cats as pets for 55 years and no other vetrinarian has done this. When it was Smokey's time to go, they took me at a moment's notice again, so my cat was at peace.Just in case you're wondering, Dr. Cohen and I are not related. I met him as a client with my 2 little fur babies.

When it comes to health and well-being for your pets it's hard to find a vet that you can trust. They are very kind and willing to help and accommodate you as much as they can.

This review is long overdue. This is just the best place for caring for your animals!! We’re on our 5th dog and we’ve taken them all to Glenview Animal Hospital, encompassing almost 40 years! Both Dr. David Cohen and Dr. Manny Kanter have cared for our sweet pups and both are thoughtful, attentive and caring professionals. We’ve also known Chris well, the Hospital team director, and she is always there with great suggestions and TLC. Walk in the door and your pup and you feel cared for right away. We love Glenview Animal Hospital so much that even with our recent move from Glenview to Wisconsin, we still take our dog here! Thank-you, thank-you all for years of care!
