From The Woman's Club of Evanston

More than 125 years ago, a group of visionary women formed The Woman’s Club of Evanston to address pressing social issues and unmet community needs. Since 1889, the WCE has been a transformative community force, volunteering thousands of hours and making significant philanthropic grants. The Woman's Club of Evanston Clubhouse, designed at the turn of the last century by noted architect Ernest Mayo is the “grand dame” of the Evanston. Its classic architecture includes a black and white marble entrance hall and double staircase leading to the dramatic Grand Ballroom, the perfect place for dinner and dancing. The Woman’s Club of Evanston, a classic, unforgettable setting for your event, it will be the day you will always remember!
