I went to the Whole Foods in Novato yesterday for some groceries. I usually go to San Rafael. I got charged a bag fee $19.95! I know a paper bag does not cost that much! I'm never going there again. I called my bank to dispute the charge. FYI, The charge was charged separately after I left the store and said Bag WF on my account. I kept my receipt. It does not have that charge on it. Is only on my bank account.

Nothing but electric cars with Namaste stickers and drivers looking at their cell phones in the parking lot. Inside is a bunch of self untitled old liberal women who should not be wearing yoga pants.

Went in for a smoothie and nobody was there, asked another worker and they went to look for someone. Nobody came. Ridiculous.

It’s a good store, with good service. I just prefer mine in Louisville and the one in Foggy Bottom more.

They’re getting even more expensive than again everywhere is something cheaper elsewhere. Got a shop a few different places to save money all in all in and out pretty quick.

Great grocery store with huge supplements section, organic everything. Staff is readily available for assistance, especially the supplements section and will help you find what works for you. Pricey but wonderful.

I've been coming here for about 3 years and here are my experiences/overview: 1. Customer service has gotten better (excluding the meat department, which I'll get to in a minute) in terms of the checkers and customer service desk. I still think there's room for improvement with floor staff and them not having an attitude for questions about location of product and inventory. 2. Product unavailability: another person posted about this and I agree. This location is constantly out regular items. I'm not sure the ends and outs of how ordering goes, but it is recommended they need to plan and project better. 3. Ok, the meat department: generally all is well here except for the manager of the department (the larger one with brown hair and a beard) is blatantly rude and has the energy of giving you the middle finger while getting your items for you. I'm not sure how he even became the manager, actually. Absolutely no customer service/soft skills. Case and point: recently I called (this manager on duty answered) before going to the store to ask if something was in stock, which it was, so I asked if I could have the order ready for pick up later. Normally when I call, the other staff ask if I would like to place the order for pick up and they are fine to do so. However when I asked this manager if he could wrap up my order he said he would but he might not have the time with the undertone clearly saying he wasn't going to do it. His response was just so weird, but I was in denial and still thought he would. I was in the store about 20 min later for shopping and when I asked another meat counter employee for the order, sure enough, the manager had deliberately not done it. The store/counter was not busy at all with 3-4 meat department employees looking like they definitely had time to take two minutes to wrap up a small single item order. Is it the end of the world this happened, no. But this manager's action was completely disrespectful and a symptom of a chronic problem for this department/store. I'm curious if others have had similar interactions with this guy. It's like to deliberately goes out of his way to be rude to customers. How he became and continues to be a manager is beyond any rational. Also, a note/request about the flowers: please have a better selection of flowers. The ones at this location look like they come from a liquor store. Please add more variety that's not just a bunch of filler greens which cheap looking flowers in a bouquet.

This Whole Foods saved me. Clean, healthy food, tables for writing while I eat breakfast on the way to San Francisco from Santa Rosa when traffic is bad. Pull over, eat fruit, delicious sandwiches, get off the road, out of traffic. This Whole Foods in Novato is relaxing with cups of watermelon, kiwi fruit, energy drinks - Amazing place to calm down from a long hard day.

Pizza has strange taste . Maybe need to add more cheese for better taste- not enough cheese on cheese pizza. And 1 piece is $4.65.Costco pizza is $1.99 per piece and tastes good.

Good pizza, but why does Whole Foods advertise a menu item and than charge you more?! I spoke to the pizza maker and she said that the price was because of the amount of toppings. The cashier had no answer either. Nowhere was anything said that it's only on certain days or anything else for that matter that I could see. The price on the box is not with tax. What am I missing.

I've been coming to this WF for 2+ years and for some reason it feels like they still haven't quite dug out from the pandemic. In fact, I'll usually drive to the San Rafael location instead (which is better, but still not great compared to some other WF locations). The bulk section has only recently gotten a little better...but for some reason many items have permanently disappeared, and it feels like the oats are always out of stock when I'm there. And if dare to go there past 2 pm on a weekend, many common items (like almond milk) are out of stock. The layout of this store just doesn't do it for me either. I don't like the parking or the two-level design.

5 stars for some of the younger workers there like Shannon, so welcoming and kind. But 1-2 of the elderly ladies are akways rude if not openly hostile to customers. They run the store like a soviet soup kitchen. Probably time to get rid of them their customer service capacity would be much better suited for the dmv. People go here for quality groceries at premium prices. No reason they should be treated with anything but kindness and respect.
